Abstract

A multilayer chiral metamaterial is proposed and analyzed as a terahertz polarization rotator. The combination of a chiral constituent with dielectrics permits optimization of the spectral-filter and polarization-rotation properties. We can generate polarization-rotation combs or narrow rotation bands with very good and broad sideband suppression.
