Doç. Dr. DİZEM ARİFLER

Dizem Arifler received her BS degree in Physics and her MS and PhD degrees in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, USA, in 2000, 2002, and 2005, respectively. She was a recipient of the Cyprus Fulbright Commission’s Full Scholarship Award from 1996 to 2000. In 2013, she received a short-term European Commission Fellowship to carry out research as a visiting scholar in Department of Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering, University College London. She is currently a faculty member in Physics Group, Middle East Technical University, Northern Cyprus Campus. Her research interests include diagnostic optical imaging and spectroscopy, computational electromagnetics and its applications to biophotonics and nanophotonics, and design of optical sensors for medical applications.
