Doç. Dr. TAYFUN NESİMOĞLU

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tayfun Nesimoglu is an accomplished engineer and academic leader specializing in RF/Microwave engineering, broadband communication systems, and RFIC hardware. After earning a PhD from the University of Bristol—where his research pioneered novel amplifier linearization techniques - Nesimoglu spent several years driving innovation through EU-collaborative projects and industry-sponsored research for Toshiba-Japan and other industrial partners.

Throughout his career, Nesimoglu has seamlessly integrated technical research with public service and institutional governance. Key highlights include serving as the Leader of the Broadcasting Technical Committee for the UN Cyprus Peace Talks and acting as a Board Member for the national Information Technologies and Communications Agency.

Currently, he is an Advisor to the Rector and former Head of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department at Middle East Technical University. He brings a unique blend of technical authority, pedagogical leadership, and administrative strategy. Nesimoglu is a member of IEEE and URSI and continues to contribute to the field through published research and patented technologies.
