Dr. Yöney Kırsal Ever is a full-time faculty member in the Software Engineering Program and the Program Coordinator for Cyber Security Engineering at METU NCC. She earned her BSc from Eastern Mediterranean University (2002), an MSc in Internet Computing from the University of Surrey (2003), and her PhD from Middlesex University, London. Additionally, she holds a Post-Graduate Certificate in Higher Education (2012).
With an academic career spanning the UK and Cyprus, Dr. Kırsal Ever previously served as a lecturer at Middlesex University and held leadership roles as an Associate Professor and Department Chairperson at Near East University and Cyprus International University. Her research focuses on network security, authentication protocols (specifically Kerberos), formal verification methods, and IoT systems. An award-winning researcher, she received the IEEE best paper award for promising research. She frequently serves as a peer reviewer for journals specializing in network security.
